Research and Process
I started this project with research of  DIY and beginner tattoo guns.
Given my findings I wanted to create a safer and more accessible DIY tattoo gun. I figured the high quality maker alternative to using a toothbrush or pen as the main body for a DIY gun would be aluminum extrusions. I then did some ideation sketches and finished them off with photoshop
After choosing the L shape gun I went into SolidWorks to model it. I stuck pretty closely to my original sketch, only making slight changes to the bracket and grips to ensure a proper and secure fit. After that I put it into Keyshot and rendered it at a low quality. I did that in order to go over it in Photoshop to really make the colors, shadows, and highlights pop.
